Missing Friends.

(See Police Gazette, 1882, page 208.) James Thomas, alias James Thomas Coles, has been found. He is at present in the employment of William Jones, baker, Greymouth.

Information is requested respecting the whereabouts of David Walsh, a native of Oula, County Limerick, Ireland, a gold-miner, about fifty-five years of age, 5 feet 7 inches high, stout build, dark complexion, hair turning grey. He left Sydney about four years ago for this colony, and will likely be engaged gold-mining. Inquiry is made for him at the request of his brother, William Walsh, through the Commissioner of Police, Queensland.

Infoemation is requested respecting the whereabouts of James Wallace, a native of County Koscommon, Ireland, a farmer. He was last heard of at Christchurch in 1879, and then intended to purchase a farm. Information is also requested of his sister, Mrs. Fahey, who when last heard of was living with her husband in Christchurch. Inquiry is made for them at the instance of their brother, Constable John Wallace, Boyal Irish Constabulary, Bellmullet, County Mayo, Ireland, through Mr. P. S. Garvey, Chief Officer, Mount Cook Prison, Wellington.

Infoemation is requested respecting the whereabouts of George Gallie, an important witness for the Crown in the case of Alexander Beattie, charged with murder. Description : English, a labourer, twenty-seven years of age, 6 feet high, fair complexion, blue eyes, light-brown hair whiskers and moustache worn full, slightly pockpitted. He was last heard of at the Old Times Restaurant, Princes Street, Dunedin, on the Ist November last. His mother lives at Waimate, Canterbury.
