Missing Friends.
Thomas Nicolson is missing from Greenfield Station, Tuipeka Mouth, since the morning of the 19th ultimo. Description : A native of Fifeshire, Scotland, a shepherd, about twenty-five years of age, about 5 feet 10 i u lies high, stout build, light sandy beard whiskers and moustache; dressed in black paget-eoat and vest, light-tweed trousers, and soft blackfelt hat; he was until recently employed shepherding at Lake Wakatipu. lie is subject to fits of mental derang ment.
Information is requested respecting the whereabouts of Patrick Slattery, a native of the South of Ireland, tliirty-f ur
years of age, 5 feet 9 inches high, stout build, dark complexion, dark hair beard whiskers and moustache, round features, scar on forehead caused by a kick from a horse, one upper front tooth out; addicted to drink, and subject to fits. He was dismissed from the Victoria Mounted Police about eight years ago, and left Melbourne about four years since for this colony. Inquiry is made for him at the request of his wife, Clara Slattery, 20G, Little Collins Street East, Melbourne.
