Horse and Cattle Stealing.

Identifiable.

Supposed stolen between April and February last, from Cardrona, a thoroughbred grey-gelding, aged, 15£ hands high, black points, branded M on off shoulder, remarkable dent in root of tail; the property of Richard Walsh; value £4O. Identifiable.

Philip Mcßarron is charged, on warrant issued by the Palmerston South Bench, with stealing, on the 26th or 27th ultimo, from Shag Valley, a black mare, branded P on near shoulder, near hind fetlock white, blaze down face; the property of Luke McAllister; value £2O. Identifiable. Description:

A man named Conway is charged with stealing, on the 20th ultimo, from Taradale, a dark-bay horse, about 15 hands high, white streak down face, branded go on near shoulder, shows white of eyes, shod all round, value £11; had on a s tddle, about half-worn, with leather girth and a common bridle, value £2 10s; the property of Frank Halpin. Identifiable. Description: About twenty-three years of age, about 5 feet 8 inches high, slight build, dark complexion, very dark-brown hair, sight moustache, with a little hair on chin and sides of face, square shoulders, sly-looking, said to be left-handed; dressed in blue sac-coat, dark-tw T eed trousers, and soft felt hat. He was lately employe 1 at Mr. Moorhouse’s station, Patoa, and was formerly at the Chatham Islands, where he said he had been wrecked. He left Te Rupanga Pa on the morning of the 23rd ultimo, and said that he was going to Cambridge vid Taupo, but he may have gone to Wanganui instead.
