Deserters from Merchant Vessels.
(See Police Gazette, 1882, page 4.) James Buckley, charged with deserting from the barque “ Tongoy,” at Port Chalmers, has been arrested by Constable Thomas Leitch, Dunedin Police, and sentenced to fourteen days’ labour.
