Stolen during the night of the sth instant, from Te Eohu, Waikato, a light-grey saddle mare, about 15 hands high, black mane and tail, black spots on near side from saddle-gall, unbranded ; the property of William North ; value £lO. Identifiable. Maoris suspected.

John Johnston, charged on warrant with stealing three horses from Sowburn, the property of Stephen Davis, ha 3 been arrested by Acting-Sergeant Eichard Moore, Palmerston South Police, and committed for trial.

Stolen on the 6th instant, from the stable of John Martin Thompson, Colombo Street, Christchurch, a chestnut horse, hack breed, seven years old, 15 hands high, three fetlocks white, blaze down face, branded CH on near side; value £2O. Identifiable.
Stolen on the 29th or 30th ultimo, from Pollock Settlement,
Auckland, a three - year - old red cow, short turned uphorns, branded () on off rump, heavy in calf; the property of Eobert Hudson; value £5. Identifiable.
