Offences Not Otherwise Described.
William Miller is charged, on warrant issued by the Auckland Bench, with embezzling, on or about the 4th ultimo, at Auckland, £2 10s. 5d., the money of William Henry Grant, by
whom he was employed. Description: A native of the colonies, nineteen years of age, 4 feet 10 inches high, medium build, dark hair and complexion, no hair on face. Supposed to have gone to the Waikato.
Between 7 a.m. on the 7th and 8 a.m. on the Bth ultimo the padlock of the railway-points at Ealing, near Rangitata Bridge, was maliciously broken, supposed with the intention of altering the points, with the object of causing the train to run off the rails of the line.

John Gordon, charged on warrant with fraudulent bankruptcy, has been arrested by Detective Robert Bain, Dunedin Police.
