Discharged. Constable Benjamin Walters, No. 1014. Dismissals. Constable Joseph Shirley No. 1237. Constable Richard Welham, No. 1287. Constable Daniel Robertson Tvvatt, No. 1389. Reward. The sum of £2 10s. UHd. each has been awarded to Detectives George Jeffrey and Samuel Brennan, Auckland Police, in recognition of their services in connection with the seizure of a number of watches, &c., found on the premises of Sarah Bostock, at Auckland, on which Customs duty had not been paid.
During the night of the 4th ultimo, at the railway wharf, Auckland, a Manilla warp, the property of James Craig, by which the schooner “ Camilla ’’ was moored, was maliciously cut in five places, and damaged to the extent of £2O.
About the 14-th ultimo, at Hamilton East, two holes were maliciously cut in two blacksmiths’ bellows, the property of Messrs. Cochrane and Swann.
Constable Walter Bodilly has been appointed Clerk at Te Awamutu of the Resident Magistrate’s Court for the District of Waikato, and Clerk of the Licensing Court for the District of Rangiaohia, vice Constable T. Mold, resigned. (See New Zealand Gazette, 1880, page 1107.)
