John Kelly, charged on warrant with stealing a carriagerug and whip, the property of Francis Innis, has been arrested by Detective Maurice O’Connor, Christchurch Police, and sentenced to three months’ labour.
Stolen about the 12th instant, from the railway-shed at Wangaeliu, four pairs of tweed trousers, a tweed vest, seven Crimean shirts, four dozen pairs of white-and-brown-cotton socks, three dozen pairs of women’s white stockings, six linseywoolsey shirts, six moleskin shirts, six ladies’ merino costumes, six ladies’ liolland costumes, and five ladies’ print costumes; the property of Patrick Feely ; value £l3. Identifiable. Suspicion attached to Maoris who live in the neighbourhood.
Stolen on the 9th instant, from Temuka, a light-fawn coloured greyhound slut, seven weeks old, white on paws and tip of tale, a cut across one of fore paws ; the property of James Kennedy ; value £5. Identifiable.
Stolen about 1 lie 16th instant, from the meat-safe of Anne Cobham, Upper Willis Street, Wellington, a roast leg of mutton ; value 3s.

The opposum-rug swag and contents, except the watch, knife and fork, and a white shirt, the property of Bernard Lamb, stolen from the Dunedin Railway Station, have been recovered, and Francis Robinson arrested for the offence by Constable Thomas King, Oamaru Police, and remanded to Dunedin.
Stolen about the 14th instant, from the garden of Charles Bird, Melville Street, Dunedin, a broad thick-set scented verbena, about 18 inches high ; value 12s. Identifiable.
Stolen about the 17th instant, from the gold-mining claim of Patrick Cassidy and Co., at Weatherstone’s Flat, near Lawrence, about 6 ounces of gold.
Stolen on the 19th instant, from the cart of Patrick Monaghan, at Tinakori Road, Wellington, a grey-tweed paget coat, with four grey-cloth buttons, the resignation of Lieut. Halford in one of the pockets ; value £1 10s. Identifiable.
Stolen about the 19th instant, on board the steamer “ Rotomahana,” between Auckland and Wellington, a ladies’ open-faced gold lever watch, gold dial with a ship thereon, three dents in case, value £7 ; au English gold snake-pattern chain attached, value £3 ; the property of Jane Robertson. Watch identifiable, identification of chain doubtful.
Stolen on the 4th instant, at Ashurst, near Palmerston North, a white shirt, a flannel shirt, a handkerchief, two pairs of socks, and a towel; the property of William Charles Stokes ; value £l. Identifiable.
Stolen on the 3rd instant, from Taranaki Street, Wellington, a single perambulator, wooden body and iron wheels, painted green, no lining or padding ; the property of Laures Hansen ; value £2. Identifiable.

8 inches, 3 inches deep, ornamental woi’k representing small ridges, round bottom, six narrow bars about 1 inch apart across bottom, like half-circle, with two small hair brushes on each side; value £1 ss. Identifiable.
Stolen between the 3rd and sth instant, from Rattray Street Wharf, Dunedin, a pair of large gum boots, maker Hayward, half soled with leather, centre of right sole worn through, a large slit in top of leg; the property of George Davis ; value £1 2s. 6d. Identifiable.

Stolen between the Ist and 10th instant, from the garden of Walter Guthrie, Walker Street, Dunedin, three fuchsias, four geraniums, and five verbenas, all in flower, a few in earthern pots; value £l.
Stolen about the 9th instant, from a new building at Enwood, near Invercargill, a panel saw, J marked on handle, a rip saw with three small notches in handle, three claw hammers, one with a saw-mark across handle, another with a very short handle, and the other with a new handle; a smoothing-plane with nail-mark in left corner, three chisels, a inch, a £ inch and 1 inch, two ferrules on handle of latter; a brace and bit, bit three-fourths of an inch w ide ; a rebate-plane with four or five small Doles in bottom; two leather nail bags with common leather straps and two leather thongs in corner of one, and a set-stone in pine case, case broken and nailed together; the property of James Ferguson ; value £4. Stolen on the 14th instant, from the ladies’ waiting-room at the Dunedin Railway Station, a ladies’ black-leather bag, about a foot square, containing an unfinished pair of knickerbocker trousers, a boot brush, and some pears ; the property of a Mrs. Middlewiek ; value 12s. Identifiable.
