Sacrilege.
(See Police Gazette , 1877, page 03.) The cross, candlesticks, &c., stolen from St. Bartholomew’s Church, Ivaiapoi, the property of the Rev. Herbert Edward Carlyon, have been recovered. They were found in an unoccupied store in Ivaiapoi, formerly used by Josiah Birch and Co., and now belonging to the Bank of New Zealand.
