Extract from Victoria Police Gazette.

(From Police Gazette, 9th January, 1878, page 11.) Missing Friend. Information is requested of John Tenpenny, who was attached to the Police Force at Hobart Town in 1853, and is stated to have come to Victoria and joined the Police Force here, but no such name appears on the records. It is possible

he may have gone to one of the other colonies. This man was inquired for by the Tasmanian police authorities in 1871. (See Police Gazette, page 141, of that year).—O. 89. 3rd January, 1878.

Extract from New South Wales Police Gazette.

(From Police Gazette, 12th December, 1877, page 403.) £IOO Reward. Whereas photographic copies of notes of several of the banks in this colony have recently been uttered, it is hereby notified that a reward of £IOO will be paid for such information as will lead to the conviction of any person or persons for forging such notes. Also that a reward of £SO will be paid for information which may lead to the conviction of any person for fraudulently uttering such forged notes. Information to the Inspector-General of Police, who will pay the reward on behalf of the Banks. —Sydney, 6th December, 1877.
