The farmer has designed a novel forage harvester which is towed alongside the trailer. It is quickly detached when the trailer is full and left in the field while the load is dumped at the pit. The harvester is driven from the tractor power take-off through a cross-shaft fitted to the trailer tongue. The rear view (right) shows the hitch and drive arrangements.
