Some very marked improvements have been made, in recent years in farming the light, stony soils of the Canterbury Plains, most of which have depended on .the use of lime and superphosphate. Trials as shown here are giving more information on the value of such elements as molybdenum and sulphur as well as on lime and phosphate.
