The garden and part of the orchard at the Special School. The garden and orchard cover 10 of the School's 300 acres and provide all the vegetables and nearly all the fruit required to feed 120 boys. In addition enough potatoes are usually grown to supply all the Child Welfare institutions in the South Island.
