Lower left—A seed cleaner used for dressing on the farm. Note the cellular cylinders which are fitted at an angle to the horizontal. A cylinder will make separations with great accuracy in material of the same shape in cross-section but varying in length. Lower right -A scalping machine removes the larger pieces of straw, seed stalk, and other impurities from the line.
