It is used in the "Gammexane" Smoke-Generator— simple and safe device which on ignition evolves the insecticide as a fine smoke which acts partly as a fumigant, and at the same time deposits a film of insecticide over all exposed surfaces, dealing death to fleas, cockroaches, flies, ticks, etc. The only preliminary treatment required before use is the simple sealing of major openings, i.e., close windows and seal chimneys, etc., with sacking or paper, and the removal of all foodstuffs for human consumption as a precaution against taint.
