RUMEX ACETOSA: SORREL. Colour dark brown to black with lighter margins. Occurs frequently in meadow foxtail seed from Europe; rarely in New Zealand grass and clover seed. Australia admits not more than 20 seeds an ounce. A perennial weed of wet pasture land.
