This clean, clear fluid with a pleasant smell is three times more efficient as a germicide than pure carbolic acid. Yet Dettol can be used at really effective strengths on raw wounds and in parturition without danger or discomfort. This high bactericidal power remains stable in the presence of blood, pus, serum and faeces. Dettol is non-poisonous even when undiluted, non-staining, and an excellent deodorant.
