Wairarapa Y.F.C. District Debate

r TTHE final of the Wairarapa Y.F.C. X district debate was recently decided between the Tinui and the Masterton Club teams. The judge, Mr. J. E. Tier, gave the award to Tinui, who took the affirmative.

The subject of the debate was: “That in New Zealand, farming offers the most attractive career for a young man.” The teams were as follows: Tinui: E. Schofield, R. Curran and R. Spooner. Masterton: G. Blatchford, D. McGregor and J. S. Mackay.

At the conclusion of the debate, Mr. G. H. Perry, the district patron, presented the shield to members of the Tinui team, and congratulated them on their success. The debate attracted an attendance of more than fifty members and friends.
