SUMMER MEETING.

On Friday evening next (December 3) general entries will close at 5 p.m. for the Auckland Racing Club’s summer meeting, to be held on December 27 and 29 and January 1 and 3. The events for which nominations fall due on the date mentioned are as follows: — First Day.—-Shortland Plate, of 500 sovs, one mile; Robinson Handicap, of 400sovs, seven furlongs; Grafton Hurdle Race, of 500sbvs, two miles; Nursery Handicap, of 500sovs, for two-year-olds, five furlongs; Christmas Handicap, of 500sovs, one mile. Second Day.—Bowen Handicap, of 400sovs, six furlongs; Electric Handicap, of 650sovs, five furlongs; Ponsonby Hurdle Race, of 500sovs, one mile and three-quarters; Criterion Handicap, of 500sovs, for two-year-olds, six furlongs; Waitemata Handicap, of 400sovs, one mile and aquarter; Plunket Welter Handicap,, of 500sovs, one mile. Third Day.—Ferguson Handicap, of 400sovs, six furlong?; New Year’s Hurdle Handicap, of 500sovs, two miles; Midsummer Handicap, of 500 sovs, for two-year-olds, five furlongs; Newmarket Handicap, of lOOOsovs, six furlongs; Ellerslie Handicap, of 400sovs, one mile; Glasgow Handicap, of 500sovs, seven furlongs.
