DUNEDIN JOCKEY CLUE.

SPRING MEETING. The .Dunedin Jockey Club will open their spring meeting at Wingatui on Friday next (October 15) and the gathering will be brought to a conclusion on the following day. Excellent acceptances have been received for the first day’s events, and there is every prospect of some high-class racing being: witnessed. With a number of New Zealand* Cup candidates included among the ten acceptors for the Mosgiel Handicap more than ordinary interest is centred in that event. Thirteen youngsters have been paid up for in the McLean Stakes, and a good contest is assured.
