At the special meeting of the Auckland District Committee held last week for the purpose of considering applications lodged respectively for trainers’ and jockeys’ licenses, the following were successful applicants: Trainers. —A. Hewitt, who is leaving the Dominion, was granted a clearance. The Whangarei Racing Club’s programme was approved, and it was agreed to recommend the club’s application for change of date to October 13 and 16.
