Kilbeggan, on being brought back from Egmont, was entrained to her owner (Mr. Jas. Hand), at Hellensville, and goes to the stud. Some Fashion, who finished-second to Passin’ Through in the Faretvell Handicap, the last race on the programme, was the only Aucklander to return a dividend at the Wanganui meeting Some Fashion was ridden by J. Conquest and returned a substantial dividend for second. Kybas, the grey gelding by Arsenal from Nell, has arrived in Melbourne from Tasmania, and is to run jn the V.R.C. Grand Nationals. : Kybas Avon the recent Tasmanian Grand National Steeplechase at Delofaine. Some time previously he was sold, along with saddle, bridle and rug, for £l5. The death of Mr. Owen McGee, of Otahuhu, is referred to on our Clubman page. Though it - Avas a bleak afternoon, his funeral on Sunday last was very largely attended; indeed, was one of the largest ever seen in the Otahuhu township. Representatives of various racing and trotting clubs and sportsmen and settlers Avere Avell represented, and there Avere many Avreaths. The crack N.S.W. performer Poitrel, who it will be remembered narroAvly defeated Gloaming over a mile and a-half at Randwick last spring, enjoys the meritorious record of having started in nine Aveight-for-age events and having Avon all of them, crediting his owners Avith £11,865 in stakes. Carbine won. 14 weight-for-age races in succession, and his winning sequence that time was 16, inclusive of the Sydney and Melbourne Cup. Four of Poitrel’s victories Avere gained at four-years-old, Avhile the other five Avins were registered during the 1919-20 season by the five-year-old ’son of St. Alwynne. Poitrel may yet' extend his uninterrupted record in 'the spring. _ j
