All races to be run under the N.Z. Rules of Racing. Entries by telegram must be confirmed in writing at the earliest possible opportunity, under a penalty of 2sovs. Owners are responsible for all penalties and allowances. ' Prior to any race, the Stewards may order a parade in front of the Grandstand. The owner of any horse absent from such parade without the permission of the Stewards will be fined 2 sovs. In all handicap races, except two-year-olds, where not otherwise stated, the minimum weight will be 7.0. Owners and Trainers will only be admitted to the bird cage immediately before and directly after any race in which they have a horse engaged. The winner of any race after declaration of weights may be re-handicapped. Entries and Acceptances close at 5 p.m. on their respective dates unless notified to the contrary. The Committee or Stewards reserve the right at any time to alter or curtail the subjoined Programme, or to abandon any meeting if they consider it advisable.
