In winning the Bourke Handicap at the Victoria Racing Club’s ( autumn meeting, Eusebius established a fresh Australasian record by cutting out the seven furlongs in lmin. 25%5ec., thus eclipsing Jolly Beggar’s time of lmin. 25 3-ssec., registered at Perth in December, 1910. An offer of £lO,OOO was recently refused in England for the crack two-year-old, Comrade, who won the three races in which he started last season. As a yearling, Comrade was picked up for 25 guineas.
