AUCKLAND’S CHRISTMAS ATTRACTION.

MUSICAL COMEDY COMPANY. AUSTRALASIAN PREMIERE OF “YES, UNCLE.” Mr. John Farrell, who is at present managing the Muriel Starr Company, states that the Christmas attraction for Auckland will be the J. C. Williamson Musical Comedy Company in “Yes, Uncle,” a fascinating piece which has been as big a success abroad as “The Merry Widow.” A special point of interest is attached to its presentation in the fact that for the first tinie in the theatrical annals, Auckland playgoers are to be privileged to watch an Australasian premiere of an important Williamson musical production. It will be remembered that the initial Australasian presentation of “Katinka” took place in Wellington last year, the piece proving one of the biggest musical successes the firm has ever had. And judging from all accounts of the abundance of mirth and melody in “Yes, Uncle,” the latest musical comedy should have a lucky start-off from the city fortunate enough to witness its creation. The scene is set in an artist’s studio, and the cast includes William Greene (an artist), Field Fisher (his uncle), Alfred Frith, ' George Willoughby, Cyril Richards, Harry. Wooton, Fred Maguire, Jack Hooker, Harold Dickenson, Gracie Lavers, Marie Eaton, Cecil Bradley, Madge Elliot, and Millie Engler.
