A fine stamp of the English thoroughbred arrived in Sydney last month — a compact - looking brown horse named Olympic. He is a four-year-old (according to English time) by Dorando (son of Cyllene) from ■Lady A., a mare who has given the English turf such winners as Pinion, Peleponnesus and Dutch Girl. Dorando (sire of Olympic) was bred by the late King Edward VII., and carried the colours of King George V. Lady A., the dam of Olympic, is by Rightaway (son of Wisdom) from Lady Day (half sister to Tittle Tattle), by Edward the Confessor (son of Hermit). Olympic started once as a two-year-old, filling second place to a Pollywin colt in the Land of Burns Nursery Handicap, over five furlongs, at Ayr. As a three-year-old he ran twice, and was unplaced.
