An amusing story is told with reference to a recent investiture at Buckingham Palace. An officer met a pal and said: “I’m going to see G.R. to-morrow.” “By Gad!” exclaimed the pal, “Robey is great in ‘The Bing Boys on Broadway’ at the Alhambra.” “Oh, good lor! old man, I meant I am going to receive the D. 5.0.!”
