annual meeting
The officials of the Matamata Racing. Club are to be congratulated upon their decision to hold a non-totalisator meeting on April 3 next. Six handicap events are to be run, including the Matamata Cup Handicap, of 40sovs., 1% miles, while the other races are to be held over five, six and seven furlongs and a mile. Nominations for all events close with the secretary, Mr. Albert Yardley, Box 38 Matamata, on Saturday next (Marcn 22) up till 9 p.m. Those who contemplate nominating their horses for the fixture should note that the post office closes at 5 p.m.
