TE AROHA JOCKEY CLUB.

ANNUAL MEETING'. The Te Aroha "Jockey Club have arranged all details in connection with their two days’ annual meeting, which takes place on Saturday and Monday, March 8 and 10. No reduction whatever has been made in the stakes for the first day’s events, chief of which is the Te Aroha Cup, of 400sovs., IM miles. ’ The second day’s programme is of an attractive character, substantial stakes being offered for all the eight events carded. The Jockey Club Handicap, of 300sovs, one mile, is certain to 'fill well, while another good field may confidently be looked for in the Farewell Handicap, of 16550v5., seven furlongs. Other events figuring on the second day’s card are the Manawaru Handicap Hurdles, of 160sovs., 1% miles; Tourist Welter Handicap, of 150sovs., one mile; Maiden Plate Handicap, of 130sovs, seven furlongs; Domain Handicap, of 150sovs., six furlongs; Wairakau Hack Handicap of 130sovs., six furlongs; and the Electric Handicap, of 150sovs., furlongs. Nominations for all events must be made to the secretary, Mr. E. O. Nash, Te Aroha, or Mr. C. F. Mark, Durham Street East, Auckland on or before Friday, February 21. at 5 p.m.
