ROTORUA JOCKEY CLUB.
There is every reason to view the prospects in regard to the Rotorua Jockey Club’s annual meeting, which is to be held on February 26, in a very favourable light, as indications point to a substantial list of nominations being received by the secretary, Mr. K. J. Rennie, and with Mr., H. H. Hayr, Auckland, on Friday, February 7, when entries are due not later than 5 p.m. The Rotorua Cup, of 200sovs, one mile and a-quarter; the Arawa Park Handicap, of 150 sovs, one mile; Tourist Handicap, of 125sovs, six furlongs; and the Farewell Handicap, of 125sovs, five furlongs, are the leading events to be decided on an attractive eight-race programme. The Arawa Park racecourse was never in better condition than at present, and with the in-
creased accommodation and. improved appointments those who contemplate patronising this popular gathering in the thermal regions are assured of every comfort and convenience.
