A FORMER GERMAN STRONGHOLD IN THE CAMEROONS TAKEN BY THE FRENCH, SHOWING NATIVE TROOPS IN POSSESSION. This fortification was occupied by a strong German garrison, and following its capture by the French the latter entrusted its defence to the native troops, whose devotion to the French has been a feature of the campaign.
