The Rotorua Jockey Club’s annual meeting will take place to-day (Wednesday) on the Arawa Park racecourse, when a representative crowd is certain to be present, including many visitors from Auckland. Chief interest is centred in the Rotorua Cup, in which seven horses are engaged, including the Te Kuiti and Hamilton Cup winner, Tinopai, who two years ago prevailed in the Rotorua Cup. She has been allotted 9 3, and though she won the Hamilton Cup in decisive fashion, Sir Ralph (7.10), who acted as runnerup, will not want for friends in today’s race.
