RULES AND REGULATIONS. 1. All races to be run under the Rules of Racing as adopted by the Racing Conference of New Zealand. 2. NOMINATIONS close at the Secretary’s Offices, Dargaville, or with F. D. Yonge, Auckland, or W. Strugnell,Whangarei, on FRIDAY, DECEMBER 28, 1917, at 9 p.m. 3. Entries by telegram must be confirmed in writing by the first mail. 4. Owners, trainers and others are notified that entries and acceptances must be accompanied by the necessary amount in cash. 5. When nominating, the name and address of the trainer must be given, also the name or assumed name of the owner, with his address, 6. All colours must be registered or a fine of £1 will be imposed. 7. Any owner running a horse in colours other than those named at time of entry will be fined. 8. All persons intending to withdraw horses are required to give notice to that effect to the Secretary or Clerk of Scales one half hour before the time appointed for starting the race. 9. Prior to any race the Stewards may order a parade in front of the lawn. 10. The Stewards reserve the right to alter the date or time for the declaration of nominations, weights or acceptances as they think fit. 11. Winner of any race or races after the declaration of weights may be rehandicapped by the Handicapper. 12.
