SUMMER MEETING. The Marton Jockey Club have received splendid nominations for their summer meeting, which is to be held on New Year’s Day. The principal event, the Marton Cup (one mile and a-quart-er), has attracted 18 entries, including Impediment. Crowhurst, Client, Square Deal, Gold Soult, Rangitero and Dribble. A similar number of horses have been nominated for the Railway Handicap (six furlongs). Lingerie, Lady General, Sweet Tipperary, Crowhurst and Rang:tero being- included in the field. The other six events have all filled exceptionally well, and Mr. H. Coyle’s weights, which are due on Friday next, December 14, will doubtless create wide interest in sporting circles.
