ASHHURST-POHANGINA RACING CLUB. •ANNUAL MEETING. The officials of the Ashhurst-Pohan-gina Racing Club have every reason to feel satisfied with the nominations received on Saturday evening last for their annual meeting, which takes place on Wednesday, November 21. The Ashhurst Cup (one mile and a-quarter) has attracted no less than 19 entries, including the New Zealand Cup candidates Snub, Rose Pink and Orleans, and the presence of one or more of the trio named at the gathering will create intense interest among racegoers. The other events have all filled exceptionally well, quality being strongly represented, and the appearance of the weights on Tuesday next (November 6) are being awaited with much eagerness in sporting circles.
