BRITAIN’S APPRECIATION OF A LOYAL SOUTH AFRICAN LEADER-GENERAL SMUTS ACCEPTS AN AEROPLANE. An interesting ceremony recently took place at the Hendon Aerodrome, when Lieut. General Smuts was the recipient of an aeroplane, subscribed for by the London Chamber of Commerce as a gift to South Africa. The illustration shows the christening of the aeroplane.
