Tait are presenting with great success in Sydney, is a remarkable linguist, who is often calle 1 upon to show his knowledge of foreign tongues. The other day in Sydney the French Colonial contingent which was returning to Noumea for a short furlough expressed a desire to see, “Turn to the Right.” Mr. Mervale arranged for their attendance at a matinee, and as few of them understood English, he readily volunteered to explain the plot in French.
