KING’S THEATRE.

“A GIRL’S GOOD LUCK.” Thrills a-plenty mark “A Girl’s Good Luck,” which was presented to a packed audience at King’s Theatre on Saturday night by the BrandonCremer DramaLc Company. The piece concerns an impecunious old earl and his efforts to get rid of a young heiress so that his nephew may inherit the money. Plots and counterplots kept interest at fever point, while dashes of comedy helped to relieve the tension, and the spectators entered heartily into the spirit of each situation. Mr. Ronald Riley as Sir Derek Montcalm was early in the good books of the audience for his befriending of the heroine. The latter had a graceful counterpart in Miss Clarice Warner. Every ounce of villainy was extracted by Mr. Kenneth Carlisle, Mr. Charles Archer and Miss Beatrice Esmond. The staging effects evoked loud applause, the underground railway scene being specially realistic. “FROM MILL GIRL TO MILLIONAIRESS.” With a tempting title like the above patrons can be assured of a sensational play in the next change

of bill, which takes place at Saturday’s matinee. The substitution of a wealthy baby for one born of poor parents is the basis of the story, and the chain of remarkable incidents is unbroken through several absorbing acts. The heart interest is strong throughout, and members have good opportunities to display their respective talent.
