All races to be run under the New Zealand Rules of Racing. Re-Handicaps.—The winner of any flat race after the declaration of weights to carry a 71b penalty, and of two or more such races a 101 b penalty. Horses handicapped at 8.10 or over to carry 31b penalty for one win and 51b for two or more wins. The attention of owners and trainers is drawn to the fact that the club have erected 60 loose-boxes on its course at Opaki, and those wishing to secure loose-boxes must forward their application with a fee of £l. Accommodation has also been provided for trainers and jockeys, and those requiring accommodation must, when applying for boxes, forward a fee of £1 ss. for trainers and £1 ss, for jockeys, which amount will cover one week or fraction thereof. This Rule will be strictly adhered to. and no boxes will be secured unless the cash is remitted with application. "When nominating the name of the trainer must be given, also the registered racing colours, so as to enable same to appear in the race book.
