RANGITIKEI RACING CLUB.

ANNUAL MEETING.

The Rangitikei Racing Club’s annual meeting will be held on Wednesday and Thursday, March 21 and 22, on the Bulls racecourse, and judging by the enthusiasm with which members of the club are making the necessary preparations for this widely popular fixture, it only requires fine weather to ensure a record gathering. The Rangitikei Cup, of 300sovs„ one mile and a-quarter, is an event which is certain to attract wide attention among North Island owners, who are given an opportunity of trying their horses out before the Easter fixtures, which follow closely upon the Rangitikei gathering. On the second day the Greatford Stakes, of 17550v5., one mile and a distance, will come up for decision, and the field is certain to include several of the Cup candidates •of the previous day. Special opportunities are afforded owners of hacks to gain stake money at this fixture, no less than eight hack flats and two hack hurdles being included on the programme. In addition, the welter and sprint events provide further attractions to owners and trainers, and a splendid nomination should result when nominations fall due with the secretary, Mr. H. A. Goodall, Bulls, on Tuesday, February 27, at 9 p.m.
