MIDSUMMER MEETING. ADJUTANT WINS HANDICAP. The Canterbury Jockey Club held their midsummer meeting on Saturday in fine weather, but the attendance was meagre. The sum of £14,571 passed through the machine, as compared with £18,990 for the 1916 midsummer fixture. The results were: — TRIAL STAKES of 140sovs. Seven furlongs. 5—H. G.
