TE KUITI RACING CLUB.
ANNUAL MEETING. Those who were fortunate enough to be able to attend the last meeting of the Te Kuiti Racing Club’ will harbour pleasant recollections of the enjoyable visit paid to the flourishing inland town of Te Kuiti, and are looking forward with no little eagerness to the reunion of the club, which will be on Saturday, February 10. As usual, the officials of the Te Kuiti Racing Club have drawn up a varied and valuable programme of events in connection with their annual meeting, of which the Te Kuiti Cup Handicap, of 300sovs., one mile and aquarter, takes premier rank. Other events to be run at the meeting are as follow; —Maiden Handicap, of 75sovs., seven furlongs; Otorohanga Handicap, of lOOsovs., five furlongs; Hack Hurdles, of lOOsovs., one mile and three-quarters; Te Kumi Handi-
cap, of lOOsovs.) six furlongs; Stewards’ Handicap, of 17550v5., six furlongs; Farmers’ Plate, of 50sovs., eight and a-half furlongs; Farewell Handicap, of lOOsovs., five furlongs. A special train will leave Auckland on the morning of the races for Te Kuiti, returning the same evening, and it is certain to predict that g.ven fine weather a record attendance will be in evidence at the Te Kuiti Jockey Club’s popular gathering on February 10th.
