AWAKINO STAKES HANDICAP of 40sovs; second horse to receive 5 sovs out of stakes. Winner of any race after the declaration of weights to carry 101 b penalty. Nomination 205., acceptance 20s. Five furlongs. 3. NORTHERN WAIROA CUP HANDICAP of lOOsovs; second horse to receive lOsovs, and third horse 5 sovs out of stakes. Winner of anv race after the declaration of weights to carry 101 b penalty. Nomination 305., acceptance 30s. One mile and a-half. 4. SETTLERS’ HANDICAP of 40sovs; second horse to receive ssovs out of stakes. For all horses that have been owned by bona fide residents, and located continuously in anv county north of Waitemata County three months prior to date of nomination, and that have not won a race exceeding the value of 20sovs at time of starting. Six furlongs. , RULES AND REGULATIONS. i 1. All races to be run under the Rules of Racing as adopted by the Racing Conference of New Zealand. 2. NOMINATIONS close at the Secretary’s Office, Dargaville, or with F. D. Yonge, High Street, Auckland, at 9 p.m. on SATURDAY, DECEMBER 16, 1916, or with J. R. S. Richardson, Whangarei, or G. Gallie Matakohe, on WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 13, 1916 at 9. p.m. WEIGHTS declared DECEMBER 28. ACCEPTANCES close on DECEMBER 30, at 9 p.m. 3. Entries by telegram must be cofirmed in writing by first mail. 4. Owners, Trainers and others are notified that entries or acceptances must be accompanied by the necessarv amount of cash. 5. When nominating the name and address of the trainer must be given, also the name or assumed name of the owner with his address. 6. Any person who shall run a horse in colours not duly registered in his name shall in every case pay to the Club a fine of Isov for every start. 7. Any person intending to withdraw a horse, shall give notice in writing to that effect to the Secretary, or Clerk of the Scales, at least half an hour before the time appointed for starting. 8. Prior to any race the Stewards , may order a parade in front of th? lawn. I 9. The Stewards reserve the right to alter the date or time for the declaration of Nominations, Weights or Acceptances as they think fit. I 10.
