WAVERLEY-WAITOTARA RACING CLUB.

The annual meeting of the Waver-ley-Waitotara Racing Club is to be held on Monday, October 23rd (Labour Day), and the programme of eight events, which runs to Ji 1095, will require attention at the hands of owners of horses on Wednesday of next week (October 4). There are two fixed weight races, the Morton Memorial Maiden, run over seven furlongs at weight for age, and the Wilson Stakes, run over four furlongs, winners 9.0 and non-winners 8.0. The Waverley-Waitotara Cup, of 190sovs., 114 miles; Momohaki Stakes Handicap, of 150sovs., one mile; Brewer Handicap, of ISOsovs., six furlongs; flurdle Handicap, of 13550v5.; Flying Handicap, of 12550v5.; and Jackson Memorial Stakes, of 105sovs., forming the items. Excepting where the horses weighted at 8.7 or over win after declaration of weights they will be penalised 101 b. for one and an additional 71b. for two or more. Horses weighted at or above 8.7 will only carry half the penalties named. Mr. H. Coyle will declare the weights on October 11th.
