For horses that have never won a race of any description (point-to-point races excepted). Minimum weight, 9.7. Nomination Isovs, acceptance 2sovs. Distance, two miles and a-quarter. 2. HUNTERS’ HURDLE RACE (HANDICAP) of 150sovs; second horse to receive 20sovs, and third horse to receive .lOsovs out of stake. For horses the bona fide property of members of any recognised Hunt Club, and which have been duly qualified during the season of 1916 by a lady member or gentleman member of any such Hunt Club. No horse will be eligible which has won a race of any description of the value of more than 50sovs prior to time of starting (Hunters’ races excepted). Owners must hand to the Secretary a certificate of qualification of their horses at time of nomination. Over eight flights of hurdles. Minimum weight, 9.0. Nomination lsov, acaceptance 2% sovs. Distance, two miles. 3. MAIDEN HURDLE RACE (HANDICAP) of 125sovs; second horse to receive 20sovs, and third horse to receive ssovs out of stake. For all horses that have never won a hurdle race of the value of 150sovs, or hurdle races of the collective value of 400sovs at time of nomination. Over seven flights of hurdles. Winner of any hurdle race after declaration of weights to carry 101 b penalty. Nomination lsov, acceptance 2sovs. Distance, one mile and three-quarters. 4. SYLVIA PARK HANDICAP of 125 sovs; second horse to receive 20 sovs, and third horse to receive 5 sovs out of stake. For three-year-olds and upwards that have never won a flat race of the value of 100 sovs, or flat races of the collective value of 250sovs at time of nomination. Winner of any flat race after declaration of weights to carry 51b penalty. Minimum weight 9.0. Nomination lsov, acceptance 2sovs. Distance, six furlongs. 5. LIVERPOOL STEEPLECHASE (HANDICAP) of 225sovs; second horse to receive 40sovs, and third horse to receive 15sovs out of stake. Minimum weight, 9.7. Nomination lsov, acceptance 3sovs. Distance, about three miles. 6. PAKURANGA HUNT CUP (HANDICAP STEEPLECHASE) of 225 sovs; second horse to receive 40 sovs, and third horse 15sovs out of stake.
