Races No. 4 and 7 are open to all horses. 2. Hack Definition. —Subject to the limitations imposed as to Race No. 2, no horse shall start in any Hack Flat Race which has at any time prior to the time of entry won a race of the value of £l5O to the winner, or races of the aggregate value of £4OO to the winner, nor in . any Hack Hurdle Race or Steeplechase which has at any time prior to the time of entry won a race of the value of £l5O to the winner, or races of the aggregate value of £4OO to the winner; provided that in calculating such values any money payable by reason only of no other horse winning second or third money shall be excluded. The amount won by any horse in Flat Races or Hurdle Races shall be estimated separately, and shall not debar such hor.se from entry except in the special class of race in which it has won the amounts. 3. Every entry shall state the name or assumed name of the owner or owners. 4. Owners of horses which are liable under the Rules of Racing to be bracketed on the totalisator must give notice to that effect not later than the hour of acceptance under penalty of not less than £lO or more than £lOO. 5. All races to be run under the New Zealand Rules of Racing. 6. All nominations by telephone or telegram must be confirmed by letter at once, accompanied by fees, name of owner, colours, breeding, age, and all necessary official information. PENALTIES. Flat Races. —The winner of any Flat Race (aftelr declaration of weights, if handicapped under 8.10) to carry 101 b penalty, and for every additional win 61b extra. If handicapped at 8.10 or over to carry only half the above penalty. Hurdle Races.—The winner of any Hurdle Race or Steeplechase after the declaration of weights to carry 101 b penalty in the Hurdle Race or Steeplechase, or two or more Hurdle Races or Steeplechases 211 b penalty.
