AVONDALE JOCKEY CLUB.

The spring programme of the Avondale Jockey Club will require attention from owners on August 25 for the whole of the handicap races, some of which have been increased in value s’nce last year, and the final payments for the two classic races, Avondale Stakes and Avondale Guineas, will require to be made at the same time. The Avondale Cup is worth 600sovs and for this race, as for all the other handicap events, the nomination money is only Isov. There are two hurdle races and two steeplechases on the list, and flat races at varying distances to suit different classes and ages from two years old and upwards, and welter races also figure on the two days’ bill of fare. Mr. H. Hayr should find owners responding well to his club’s invitation or so attractive a menu- which is the first of the new season which presents such a variety of events.
