Applications for the positions of Stipendiary Stewards as follows: Chief Stipendiary Steward, Salary £4OO, and for Travelling and other charges, £l5O per annum. Deputy Stewards, 14 days at £lO 10s. per day, and their actual fares. Assistant Stewards, 22 days, at £5 ss. per day. Will be received by the Secretary of the N.Z. Trotting Conference at Christchurch, N.Z., up to Thursday April 30 1916. . Applications must be by letter addressed to the Secretary, (the envelope to be marked “Application for Stipendiary Steward”), must be accompanied with age, recent photograph and testimonials, and will be treated as strictly confidential. (Communications with members of the Stipendiary Stewards Committee will not be allowed ) When applying, applicants for the chief position must state whether, in the event of not being appointed to such position, they would be prepared to act as Deputy Stewards or not.
