Kirkwood, President’s, Eastbrook, and Ballance Handicaps for UNHOPPLED TROTTING HORSES ONLY. 3. All races to be run under Rules of N.Z. Trotting Association. The winner of any race after declaration of handicaps be re-handicapped. 4. Order of running subject to alteration. 5. The attention of all persons nominating or accepting with horses is particularly directed to the following:—All nominations and acceptances must be accompanied by the necessary fees, otherwise they may be rejected. 6. The previous performances of the horses must be given at time of nomination, also colours of the riders, under a penalty of £l. (Rule 126.) 7. The Stewards may call upon the owner to prove to their sat.sfaction the bona tides of his horse at any t.me, or in any manner they may desire. In the event of their not being satisfied with the identity of any horse they may refuse to allow him to start or take part in the meeting. 8. All horses must be ridden or driven out to the end of the race in accordance with Rule 260. 9. All disputes and objections arising out of racing shall be settled by the Judicial Committee. (Rule 84, Rules of Trotting.) 10. Nominations must state the bona fide owner of the horse. 11. No jockey will be allowed to ride or drive unless in full jockey’s colours and breeches. (Rule 226.) 12. Any jockey not weighing out within ten minutes after ringing of bell, or not returning saddle cloths immediately at conclusion of events, will be fined £l, which will be strictly enforced. 13. All protests must be made in writing, and accompanied by a fee of £5, to be forfeited if the protest is dismissed. 14. All protests must be in the hands of the Secretary within ten minutes after the decision of the race. 15. By the entry of or endeavour ng to enter a horse, every person having or subsequently acquiring any interest in such horse shall be deemed to accept all the conditions and restrictions imposed or implied by these Rules, and to be barred from questioning the action or conduct of the Club, or other body holding sports meeting, or of any official of the Club, or such other body, in respect to such horse, or of any person connected therein otherwise than is provided for in Part XXX. as per Rule 172. 16. All horses or ponies entered at the meeting must be registered with the New Zealand Trotting Assoc’ation prior to nomination. . 17.
