BUSINESS ITEMS.

MR. JOHN SINCLAIR, CATERER. The catering at the Auckland Racing Club’s meetings at Ellerslie and at Avondale and Alexandra Park is often the subject for favourable remark, and Mr. John Sinclair, who holds contracts under these and other sporting clubs, and from the Auckland A. and P. Association, provides specially for weddings, picnics, club dinners, balls, banquets, “at homes,” fishing and yachting parties, and leading public functions, such as the luncheon tendered to His Excellency, Lord Liverpool, by the Auckland City Council at the opening of the Auckland Exhibition, well deserves the good name he has earned, which accounts for the large and ever-increas-ing demands upon his services. He employs a large and efficient staff, who thoroughly understand their business, and gets his supplies from his own and.the best of suburban and country poultry farms, and can meet orders that are given at very short notice. In short, his business at Claude Road, Epsom, is probably the largest of its kind in the Dominion. At the Garden Fete this week in aid of the Wounded Soldiers’ Fund, Mr. Sinclair is giving his services and staff free.
